No. There is no required separation period in Gwinnett County or in any other county in Georgia before you can file for divorce. Oftentimes, the parties are still living under the same roof when the divorce is filed. Georgia law does, however, require that you be a resident of the State of Georgia for at least six months before you file for divorce.
